Touils has learned that personal success is a solo journey. From his studio in Lille, France, the Moroccan-born artist infuses his canvases with warmth and joy, shunning dark tones. His art reflects his desire to explore new places, with vibrant colors and light defining his style. Touils’s challenging upbringing forged him into a resilient self-taught artist, split between Morocco and France during his childhood. From a tender age, he shouldered responsibilities beyond his years, laboring to support his family instead of attending school. His move to Lille at age 18 marked a pivotal moment, igniting his determination to overcome adversity through art. Inspired by Impressionists like Monet and Van Gogh, Touils employs acrylic, spray, and oil paints to construct vibrant layers on canvas. His brushstrokes, reminiscent of his idols, evoke feelings of joy and tranquility. I paint what I seek to get back: love, positive energy and light. - Toulis
